HOUSE OF BOOKS

The sprawling residence, spread across 5 acres of land by the banks of Bellandur Lake in Bengaluru, is a two-storey structure with large open spaces, both within and outside.
Large openings enhance the sense of space and bring the external landscape into the house. The exotic yellow Jaisalmer marble flooring brings brightness and a 'pop' of colour. This, along with the wooden elements, adds warmth to the spaces. Small, intricate details have been worked out to relate the occupants to their roots while keeping the contemporary nature of the house.
The client's need for an elaborate library and their love for books got us carving out book shelves in every space possible, making this a 'House of Books.
